Yeah, same here.

I have tried a row a products and here is a review of some products that actually worked for me and some that you shouldn't even look at.
Products that you can forget about:
1. Boots Botanics organic lip balm (UK only) - I couldn't actually get the product out of the tube and had to cut it open, as it really was so hard. On the lips however this product melted away like butter and after 3 minutes my lips were as dry as before.
2. the little green/red tin from Superdrug (UK only) - this might work for people with normal lips, but forget it if you have real problems with your lips. It smells good, feels good, etc., but only for 5 minutes - trust me.
3. Carmex Cherry lip balm - I know many people love Carmex, but it just doesn't work for me. I haven't tried the carmex from the tube, but the Carmex from the pot just doesn't work. It lasts a bit longer than the little green tin, but tastes disgusting and smells weird in my opinion. After 5 minutes my lips were just as bad as before.
Products that works when your lips are having a good day:
1. Blistex (I have this one as a "lip massage"). This product is wonderful if my lips are in a good mood. I can feel the product for about an hour on my lips and after 3 hours my lips still don't chap. However, I find it tastes a bit bitter sometimes.
2. Bebe young care lip balm - I found this product in Germany, but never seen it in the UK, maybe I'm just blind. I went through 2 sticks of those in the last year, so yeah, they really work (similarly well as the Blistex) and their taste neutral. I need to get more of them. Great everyday lip balm!
One product for the emergency case:
p2 lip food in honey (repair your lips) - Unfortunately this product is only available in Germany, but it really is the life saver in emergency cases. It works wonderfully and lasts forever (which is over 8 hours in my case) and if I put it on over night my lips actually feel normal! Some people might not like the thick consistency, but I love it! Also, I have tried the other lip balms by p2 and I tell you, only this one works! The rest either taste bitter, or smell weird or simply do not work.
I use this one only in emergency cases, when my lips are in a very bad mood, as I can't get hold of this product here in the UK and I'm a bit afraid to use it up. However, if you live in Germany I definitely would say that you can use it everyday and save yourself a lot of headaches about how to cheer up your lips every few hours.
Carmex is a great cheaper alternative to 8 hour cream :)
